“QED--IR as an Example of Physics  at Ultra--Low Energies”

Abstract:

We address quantum electrodynamics in the infrared regime by extending the adiabatic approximation to quantum field theory
and show that the physical states of QED-IR emerge as electron–photon clouds. At very low energies, electrodynamics exhibits
remarkable properties. We further propose an experiment to detect infrared effects in the Rayleigh–Jeans limit of blackbody radiation.
