The Mathematical Physics group  is composed of several members of our department  and other departments of our University:

  • Dr José F. Cariñena (Professor, retired from teaching)
  • Dr Manuel Fernandez-Rañada  (Professor, retired  from teaching)
  • Dr Eduardo Martínez (Associate Professor, Department of Applied Mathematics)
  • Dr. Silvia Vilariño  (Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, CUD Zaragoza)
  • Dr Jesús Clemente-Gallardo (Associate Professor, Department of Theoretical Physics)
  • Dr Jorge A. Jover-Galtier (Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Mathematics)
  • Carlos Bouthelier (PhD student, Department of Theoretical Physics)
  • David Martínez  (PhD student, Department of Theoretical Physics)

Our main research lines cover several topics:

  • Geometry of Differential equations and Applications (JFC, EM, SV)
  • Geometric Methods in Classical Mechanics (JFC, MF-R, EMF, SV, JC-G)
  • Geometric Methods in Quantum Mechanics (JFC, JC-G, JAJ-G, CB, DM)
  • Classical and quantum integrable systems (JFC, MF-R, EM, JC-G)
  • Hybrid Quantum-Classical systems (JC-G, JAJ-G, CB, DM)
  • Geometric control of classical, quantum and hybrid quantum-classical systems (JFC, EM, JC-G,  JAJ-G, CB, DM)
  • Theory of Lie  algebroids and Lie groupoids. Applications (JFC, EM, SV, JC-G)
